A Message of Thanks from Mark

We are so very grateful for all of the love and support and prayers that we have received. I am thankful for the wonderful people that helped resuscitate our son at the scene, the Emergency Room staff at Hugh Chatham Memorial, the nurses, staff, and physicians that came to show us their support. He has been receiving excellent care here at CMC.

David is an amazingly generous and loving person. We are thankful for the time we have had thus far to be with him and are hoping and praying that he will show us some signs today that he is neurologically intact.

Again, thank you for your love and support. Keep David in your prayers.

Love,
Mark D. Heiner
(David's Dad)

Dr. Heiner & Family,
I am so sorry to hear of this accident. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that as our prayers go up that God's grace and mercy will come down and embrace David and your entire family. There is still power in prayer and I believe there are alot of people praying for you all.

Dear Heiner Family,
Everyday you're in our prayers and our heart goes out to you. We can only imagine how special of a person David is by the kindness and compassion his father has shown us since the 1st day we met him. We'll continue to check the blog and keep praying.

Dear Mark and Vicki and family. It is Angie, Melanie's old friend and your old pt. from Salt Lake City. Melanie contacted my sister, Stephanie and told her the news of your son. We are so sorry for your loss and want you all to know that we are sending our love and prayers from Utah. I met David only once and he was just a kiddo. If he was anything like you, Mark and Vicki he was assuredly an amazing person. You are missed in Utah and are in our thoughts. Angie and Stephanie Colemere

How can we express the sadness we feel for your family at this incredibly difficult time? It is nearly impossible. All that we can say is that you are in our prayers and thoughts quite regularly. My memories of David are that he was a darling boy that made me laugh and was kind and sweet. My even greater memories are of his special mother and father. Mark delivered our last child and the experience of having him for our Doctor was exceptional. Not only was he a excellent Doctor, but a compassionate friend. I can only imagine that David was a chip off the old block (of his Mother too). Our hearts go out to all of you and hope that each of you will have the peace of knowing that David is in a wonderful place, I'm sure of it. We consider ourselves blessed to know the Heiner family and know that God will help you through this time of sorrow.

Dear Dr. Heiner:

I spoke with Dr. Bergeson this morning and he told me about David. My heart is truly hurting for you and your family, I can't even imagine what you are going through, I am so very sorry. I have thought about you several times since you moved from Logan and miss you as my Dr. You brought two of my beautiful children into this world and I thank you for that - please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you as much peace and comfort that is possible at this time. Much love, Jennifer Obray
